The original Seedball tin, made from British tin plate and manufactured by the last tin can maker of London. Each contain 20 seed balls (coverage for 1m2), and make for a beautiful high quality gift. Please note that the inside and base labels are as standard for all mixes and include some Seedball branding. Each tin is 67mm in diameter and 24mm height.

Each seed ball contains approximately 30 wildflower seeds for bees from a mix of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram – all recommended as bee-friendly plants by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. We’ve also added a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.

One tin of seed bombs will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.

Cowslip (Primula veris)

Perennial.
Height: 20-30cm

The origin of the name cowslip is unclear, but it may derive from the fact that it grows in meadows well manured by cow dung or cow slips.

Meadow Cranesbill (Geranium pratense)

The large purple flowers of Meadow cranesbill turn into pointed, bill-like seed pods that give the plant its common name.
