Co-founded by Jon Winter, EDEN & CO. was born from a simple frustration: finding a gift that felt thoughtful, exciting and genuinely inclusive often meant compromising on quality or choice.

Today, they're creating beautifully curated hampers filled with exceptional food and drink, proving that thoughtful gifting can (and should) be enjoyed by everyone.

What inspired you to start your business?

Food gifts often excluded someone in the room because of dietary needs, and many hampers felt impersonal. We wanted to create something different: gifts that feel genuinely considered and that almost anyone can enjoy.

The idea was simple. If a gift is meant to show someone they matter, it should be thoughtful enough that everyone receiving it feels included.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt so far on your journey?

The biggest lesson has been learning that building something meaningful takes patience. It’s easy to focus on quick wins, but the real value comes from consistently improving the experience for customers.

Every challenge, mistake and piece of feedback has helped us refine what we do. Over time, you realise the journey isn’t about getting everything right immediately – it’s about learning quickly and staying committed to the vision.

What makes your business special?

At its heart, EDEN & CO. is about thoughtful gifting. We create gifts that feel personal and carefully chosen rather than generic.

Everything we do is designed to remove the uncertainty people often feel when sending food gifts, especially when dietary needs are involved. By curating plant-based products that are widely inclusive, companies and individuals can send one gift knowing it can be enjoyed by almost everyone.

What’s your favourite product?

Our Signature Hamper is probably the one that best represents what EDEN & CO. stands for. It brings together a selection of beautifully crafted artisan treats in a way that feels generous and thoughtful without being overwhelming.

What I love most is that it often becomes something people share with family or colleagues. It turns a simple gift into a small moment of connection – which is exactly what gifting should do.

What’s the top piece of advice you would give to fellow small business owners?

Focus on the people you are serving, not just the product you are selling.

It’s easy to get caught up in features and details, but the businesses that last are the ones that genuinely solve a problem or create a meaningful experience.

If you stay close to your customers and keep learning from them, the business tends to move in the right direction.

What’s the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?

The most memorable gifts are rarely the most expensive ones. They’re the ones where someone has clearly taken the time to think about you.

I once received a simple gift connected to a personal interest of mine, and what made it memorable wasn’t the object itself, but the thought behind it.

That moment really reinforced what gifting is about: when someone feels seen, even a small gift can mean a lot.
